Dwayne : well done on your marathon.
Mike : well done on your half marathon.
If you find
the time : do a 1k and 2k , would like to see your times for those.
And give
Dwayne a speedy-ticket - he is going way too fast.
Daren ( 6k) and

All this talk of PBs made me think I should attack one of
mine. I also got riled by some crappy customer support earlier (my server host
won't tell me what's wrong with my hosted box, even though I pay the bills and
signed the contract. All because a colleague also phoned them before me, so
they'll only deal with him. Notwithstanding the fact that they closed my two
earlier support tickets, without even giving a reason). Anyway, that
worked me up into a frenzy and I wanted to smash things. Rather than destroying
my expensive possessions, I went out to the rower.
OK, scene set. My
recent 6k pace was faster than my 5k pace, so the 5k was the target for today.
2k warm up and then I hit it.
Old 5k: 18:40.5 @ 1:52.1
New 5k:
18:24.5 @ 1:50.5
Distance per stroke
went down, but I just took more of them (12 more, in fact).
Niall
Dec 6 2004, 03:45 PM
Two seconds per 500 off your old PB??!! I hope you
continue to have cr@p customer support as it's clearly the motivation you
need.
Great job fella, that's a stormin' improvement.
Now how
about that 60mins PB? I'm currently beating you (only PB that I am!) and that
can't sit very comfortably with you so you need to sort it out. I'm sure
Godfried the Statistician would agree with me (your graph's probably a bit wonky
around the 60mins area!).
Once again, great work on the 5k, heart of a
dragon!!!
