Did my first HM this morning. Thought it was going to
hurt but didn't and but for the fact that yesterday I watched the entire lions
match at the gym on a cross trainer followed by a 10K I could (maybe should)
have gone further. Time was about 1 hr 33min so nothing special in these
illustrious ranks. Sorted my wrist problem out. It was the grip (as you said)
and am now plotting further long haul trips in the near future

How many meters can we get in this
weekend (as a team)?
Can we shoot for 250k?
I did 14k yesterday and 14k so
far today. May be out in the garage later to do another 7k. So 28-35k from me,
depending on whether I can be bothered later. =)

Only had to go to work for 4hrs today(training). Managed
to get a one hour session and a half hour session in giving me just over 21k.
For me that was hard work, thanks for saying every meter counts speedy, i want
to try and stay with the higher meter boys, apart from yourself to keep me fit.

Well, I did row last night, it was supposed to be 20K,
but ended up being 17600. My legs were still pooped from Saturday's bike ride.
Plus I couldn't even start till 12:30 because we ate dinner so late, and on top
of that I had eaten too much. So it wasn't a full 20K. But if it weren't for
Taff meters I surely wouldn't have done it at all. Thanks for the prompt,

Shocking
I'd say. Say hello to my angels Sue. Welcome aboard Mike, As well as all the
newer members since I last posted. Does anyone know what happened to Debra, I
noticed she pulled her meters from last years tally. All is well here, Mikey is
almost done with spring Baseball and waiting to get on the erg to race next
Febuary at a local race. Hey there Godfried, found a tee shirt for me yet? Lets
get going on the meters, Dwayne cannot do it all though he does try. Mikez
Hey,
good news! I just got an email from Debra.
Her profile
got messed up by accident. So she is still a Taff, hooray! and will be fixing
her profile sometime soon, I hope.

Thats great news Carla, hate to 'lose' Debra as she is so
much a part of the team now - last season's battle royale between her and Chris
was exciting to witness !
Maybe a bit of friendly rivalry between you two
this season ??
Well done on your first HM Mike Wilko. It's certainly
getting pretty hot in the 300K zone with Byron, Big Red, Lynsey, Debra and
yourself all jostling with me for that coveted 2nd spot
Has all the

How is the
quality of the shirt?
Well, a
little on the cheap side. I suspect it might shrink into a square. But it's a
nice clear graphic. I may order a few more just for fun, to row in, as most of
my T shirts are really too long and get caught inthe roller. And who could wimp
out on a workout wearing a Taff shirt?
The design on the mug is glazed
over with clear glaze, which is good & means it won't wash off in the
dishwasher like some cheap mugs do.

Carla, are the images high enough quality that they don't
look pixellated? That was my main reservation because I couldn't generate them
at anything more than the resolution of my monitor. Although Flash is vector
based, the PNG export doesn't seem to work so I just had to run the .swf and
press print screen.

Sounds
like the dinner table conversation at my house (of which I understand almost
nothing.) I think the designs look fine, but my son looked at them very closely
the instant they came and asked me what the resolution of your screen was (like
I would know) and said something about vectors. He sees some pixels. But he had
to take off his glasses and peer at it very closely to see them, and only on the
mug, not the shirt. (Thank goodness, I wouldn't want anyone looking that closely
at the logo on the shirt when I have it on.) He suggested that you could do the
design in peices and then paste it back together but that that would be a huge
pain, and really you have to stuff the mug up your nose to see the
pixels.
I am going to order a few guys XL or XXL shirts for wearing on my
bike. The ladies XL I have will most likely shrink to a midriff on the first
wash, from the feel of the fabric.

There is a new club out in C2 land. It's called
W.I.S.E. (Welsh Irish Scots English). I've been emailed and asked to join (not
saying I'm going to, I've just been asked). The guy who started it has a really
good selling point though. If all the WISE's joined up, it could go to number
one pretty easily.

No, concerto
No. 5. I'm just doing the first movement. I have it by memory but I'm going to
have the music there to feel comfortable. The rehearsal last night (my one shot
with the pianist) went ok. It is going to be brutally hot in this 2nd story, un
air conditioned sanctuary, and that makes it hard to move your hand up and down

Happy anniversary everyone,
apologies for not putting
in many meters on the weekend to help the team. The thing was Saturday went to
get measured for suits for my mates daughters wedding at Ystrad Mynach. Well
that turned into a tour of the valleys pubs back to Cardiff, then more
socialising there. Sunday got up didnt know wether i wanted a s--t or haircut
all day, then monday played nine hole pub golf around Caldicot , Shirenewton ,
Chepstow , Caerwent and back to Caldicot on the mountain bikes. So rather than
getting fit was getting fat ( not a bad thing for a pig ) had to take the mrs
and mother in law to Bristol tuesday to see some American bloke? oh yes Niel
Diamond. Did have little row last night and will get back in to helping the
meters out now. Not a very good advert for sport but boy what a
weekend.
