Chippy the brave did 22:55.0 today in his garage of pain. A new PB of 30 secs for him. I going to take the credit on this one though because I picked a number out of the air (1:54), told him he could do it, and walked away!

This improves TAII by 40 secs, and just needs a LWT (I know its coming Niall - no rush mate) to complete the team. With the efforts from the other comeback kings (Porky, Godfried, and Lynsey), our third boat is only short of a LWT too.

I am confident our 2nd team captain will make a show, and boost our times further, and give the start of a 4th team.

Sorry guys, I know I've been a bit slow to the battle. Please be patient, I want to make sure I put in a good performance. I've got a performance test to do on Friday (which will feed my new training programme) so need to be in tip top condition for that to get the most out of it. Couple of days rest to get rid of the fatugue and then I'm up for it! Trust me, I wont let the team down.

I saw Gareth on the CTC standings and thought it would be a good idea to get him as another LWT Taff. Perhaps Niall needs to invite Matt Seddon to join (if he doesn't want to (or Eddie doesn't want him to) row a 6K) as that would give the Taffs a third team.

I did spot Gareth on the CTC site - with a name like that he was always going to have a welsh connection so I started throwing fishing lines out to him

I'm going to give it another whirl this Saturday (not really looking forward to it, but this is for team pride by God!!). Hopefully another pb. I'll rest up the day before and see what happens.

I go away for a couple of days and come back to a hive of activity in new recruitment and 6K times. Maybe I should go away more often!!

Went to London to take the kids to SantaLand in Earls Court. Was excited in the morning as I suddenly had the thought that I could do the 6K challenge in the hotel gym and then do my physiological test row on Saturday (rather than the Friday). Spent most of the drive to London (2.5 hours) working out tactics for the 6K (to beat Dougie). Got to the hotel, booked into room and then went straight down the gym to check out the facilities. No rowing machine !!!! I was devastated!!!

So the plan is back to test session on Friday and 6K challenge row as soon after Christmas as I can (when gym is open). Looks like I'll be battle for a place in the Taff Attack II team now (great 6K row Gareth!! ).

Well done to Phil as well for his sub-21:00 6K

Will be going for it again next Thurs, desperate to go again (Surely I can knock 20 secs of last time), but want to complete the quality trainning I've done for the past two weeks, then rest up (3 days - joy). THEN BLOW MY HEAD OFF!

Sorry haven't been sighted much, lack of internet access. Currently in Qld for Christmas visit to Mum and Jenny.

Niall - Christmas present for the Taff team - 6K in 21:39.3. A PB by 0.3 of a second on the new model D my daughter gave me for Christmas and they keep in their Physio gym up here in Qld. Can you add me to the CTC thingo if there's any room for another Taff male hwt.
